Zach's big Day

We have been fighting an infected toe for a few weeks now. Zach has been fighting as we have been trying to fix. It all came down to a doctors visit. Zach went ballistic at the thought of someone touching his toe so we had to book an O.R. and knock him out. Well over 5 hours later and lots of money, as you can imagine, a 15 minute surgery is over and Zach is on the mend. I wanted to post a few pictures and a hilarious video of him awaiting his fate. Before the surgery they gave him a tylenol mixture with another drug to calm him down so taking him to the O.R. wouldn't be too tramatic. When the medicine kicked in, well lets just say, he was calm. Jeff and I couldn't stop laughing. I am glad he was out of it or he would have been really mad at me. It was just so funny. He really did a good job though and we are glad he is on the mend.

Vegas and B-day

Well it has been over a month since my last post so I figured I better get busy. So much has been going on. First, I went to Vegas baby!!! Girlfriends only. We figured between the seven of us there were 7 husbands and 22 kids left behind. I can't speak for all in the group but I was so happy to have a break and just hang with the gals. We had a blast. We went to St. George first, stayed the night in Julie's condo timeshare. It was fun just to hang out by the pool and have breakfast together without worry about our kids trashing the place. I must say I really enjoyed that part, eating without kids. Then we moved on to Vegas. The highlight of the trip was Phantom at the Venician, but I also really enjoyed our time we spent hunting for Tiffany's in Caesars Palace and then trying to figure out how to get back out again. Right Sara? Just kidding. Really the whole trip was great. Not a dull moment. We went shopping (lots actually), rode the New York, New York roller coaster(gettin too old for that anymore), had frozen hot chocolate at Serendipity3 (loved that) and we even got in a stop at the temple for some temple work. Oh and did I say we ate, ate, ate. We really did it all. Loved every minute of it. Here is a picture of the gals outside of Cheesecake Factory, you know it is all about the good food when you are on a trip with the girls. The next is outside of New York New York and the last is the Phantom sign outside of the Phantom theater. I got some pictures of inside the theater but they were a bit blurry. Probably because we weren't supposed to take pictures inside and I did anyway. I did get yelled at by the usher. She gently reminded me pictures inside the theater were not allowed.

I also had a wonderful birthday. Many wonderful wishes from family and friends. Jeff and the boys got up early and made breakfast so we could actually all sit down and have breakfast together on a school day. That was amazing all by itself. But I also got some beautiful flowers. It was a wonderful morning. The rest of the day didn't go too bad either. Not too bad to be a year older when you have wonderful people around you that make you happy and try to keep me young. I have a great life. Love you all.
